So the long awaited Atomos Ninja ProRes recorder has company in the straight to edit, multi-format workflow portable HDD SSD recorders.
Thing is the Fast Forward Video sideKick HD is dual output with both HDMI and HD-SDI where as the yet to be delivered Atomos Ninja is only HDMI. However at NAB the Ninja will have a brother called the Samurai a SDI version of the Ninja.
The Ninja HDMI recorder costs $995 with two SSD cadies only. The sideKick HD supports both HDMI and HD-SDI out and includes a removable 128GB SSD Drive and costs $2,494.95.
