Blackmagic Camera Utility 1.8: why you can’t have it and where is it now?
#NB 1.8 is now officially available
As most of you will know we posted details and links to the Blackmagic Camera Utility 1.8 update. We have received information telling us that the update inadvertently leaked early to the ones quick enough to get it. We did grab the Mac Blackmagic Camera Utility 1.8 version and we can report we have not seen anything wrong with it yet.
Here is the official line from Blackmagic Design to us about the leaked Blackmagic Camera Utility 1.8:
You may have seen something going around about a new firmware update for Blackmagic Design cameras. I just wanted to make you aware that this is not a software release we have approved. We don’t support it and it should not be installed on cameras. We will definitely let you know officially when the new firmware will be available to download.
Thanks
