NT Mojos Using iPhones to Close The Gap Through Local Stories:

Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander viewers are advised that these films may contain images and voices of people who have died.

Absolute beautiful project coming out of Northern Territory Australia that allows local communities to tell their stories via Mobile Journalists or Mojos. The 11 Mojos from six communities in NT use iPhone’s, OWLE kits and 1st Video Application (App) from Vericorder, to record, edit and upload their local stories.

Check out some of the great stories the guys have pumped out.

At training, the Mojos were taught the basic journalistic skills of story telling as well as the technical skills to shoot, edit and upload their stories to the NT Mojos website. They were also given training in good journalistic practice including the importance of seeking releases from the people they interview.
