Apart from being the first UAS operator to independently petition the FAA for exemption from regulations, AeroCine it appears are the first to add a FIZ system (Focus / Iris / Zoom) to an aerial photography UAS.
You may also remember AeroCine from February when they strapped an ARRI Alexa XT camera with a Codex recorder and remote follow focus and made aerial history at ARRI CSC New Jersey.
World’s first micro-aerial flight of a 3-channel Cmotion wireless FIZ system on a Carbon Fiber RED Dragon with Angenieux 30-80mm T2.8 Optimo DP Rouge.
No post stabilization has been used and this demo is presented in real time from start to finish.
Please see AeroCine for more on their aerial camera set ups.
