Hawk-Woods have released their BST-1 Blackmagic Pocket Boost Adaptor for the Blackmagic Pocket Cine Camera.
The Hawk-Woods Blackmagic Pocket Boost Adaptor has a power-con aka D-Tap unregulated output, and uses Hawk-woods BP Sony type batteries, allowing you to use the camera in handheld situations. It can be attached directly to a tripod as well.
The BST-1 Boost adaptor attaches simply and securely in seconds using the included thumbscrews which have the added benefit of a BSW thread; allowing the user to still attach the camera to a tripod and even add accessories power to which can be provided via the adaptor’s built-in Power-Con (or D-Tap) output. The adaptor kit also includes cap-head screws for users who wish to maintain the camera’s compact dimensions as much as possible.
Runtimes of over 2 hours can be achieved using Hawk-Woods 30W/h BP-30U battery whilst, for those requiring even longer runtimes or extra power for accessories, Hawk-Woods also manufacture 60-Watt and 75-Watt versions of this battery which is a direct replacement for Sony’s BPU type.
