BBS Lighting will show a variety of professional lighting innovations at NAB booth C11546.

Pipeline System Remote Phosphor Lights

NAB visitors will be the first to see the premiere of the Pipeline System Remote Phosphor LED lights. In a uniquely versatile form factor, Pipeline offers BBS’ superior color rendering, fan-less operation for both daylight and tungsten color output, wireless DMX control and run on AC or DC. A diverse array of kits will be shown to accommodate small to large-scale production.

Made to address the challenges of traveling correspondents who often deliver their reports via Skype or Messenger from a webcam on a desktop, BBS will present the Pipeline Reporter 3200, 4300 and 5600 Kits. The remote phosphor LED fixtures in the Reporter Kits deliver modeled lighting with a high CRI, to an on-camera reporter under a wide range of ambient lighting conditions. The footprint of each fixture is less than the computer mouse and set up takes just a minute. Each 2-fixture kit, complete with versatile power accessories and everything else needed, comes in its own lightweight case that easily meets onboard travel regulations.

BBS will demonstrate its LED Flyer Boom light, the ready-to-go LED boom light and accessory kit built to satisfy the needs of camera and lighting professionals shooting video, cine and news production. Highly portable, it provides soft and pleasing bi-color output along with rapid setup, especially valuable for fast moving production. The LED Flyer may be deployed on the end of a boom pole, enabling it to follow subjects across the ground or stage as either a top, front or back light. Users dial in its color agile light output in the entire daylight to tungsten range and dim it from 100% to zero with no color shift. Color and dimming controls, as well as blackout, can be accessed from a remote control module worn on the user’s accessory belt.

BBS Lighting’s K7 LED Display fixture makes its NAB debut. Round in shape, the small and unobtrusive K7 hides in small nooks in the background of live television program sets, museums and other high-end displays where it provides high CRI illumination. It easily attaches to most surfaces via a strong neodymium magnet, and can be oriented in any direction. Beam control is provided by quick-change lenses and honeycombs. The fixture comes with a choice of 2W 3000K, 4000K or 5600K or 2W LEDs. The power supply runs off 120-240 VAC.

BBS is also showing the Area 48 revolutionary remote phosphor system that proved that by moving the phosphor away from the LED itself, color rendering, consistency and light output are markedly improved. Now a staple for features, television and news sets worldwide, the source is comparable to a traditional 1k soft light. It offers DMX and manual control and multiple power options including an optional mount for V-mount or A/B mount batteries or standard AC power.

Additionally BBS will show the latest Force V Light Engine for Ellipsoidal Spots. With the outstanding color rendering of BBS’s LED light engines, it comes as no surprise that lighting studios with legacy Ellipsoidal lighting instruments choose to convert them to BBS illumination. The BBS LED light engine features an even field output of significant brightness, flicker free operation and smooth dimming. It provides excellent Gobo projection, shadow rendering and silent operation.
