The DJI Zenmuse X5R is capable of recording lossless 4K RAW video, capturing a full 13 spots of dynamic range to its Micro Four Thirds sensor, giving filmmakers unprecedented flexibility during professional post-production.

The latest update of slimRAW has been released. Version 1.5 adds support for DJI Zenmuse X5R CinemaDNG compressed and uncompressed raw. Additionally, lossy CinemaDNG from Blackmagic Design cameras and slimRAW itself can now be converted to lossless CinemaDNG. This allows CinemaDNG import in applications (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro CC) which can’t open lossy CinemaDNG. The update also adds general improvements and performance optimizations.

slimRAW is a fast CinemaDNG compressor which saves storage space and reduces storage bandwidth requirements for CinemaDNG raw video production. slimRAW converts uncompressed CinemaDNG raw video to losslessly or lossily compressed CinemaDNG. slimRAW can also recompress and optimize size of CinemaDNG video that is already losslessly compressed. slimRAW doubles as a CinemaDNG raw video DIT utility: it can offload raw video from camera or recorder media to two storage locations simultaneously with on-the-fly lossless or lossy compression, checksum generation and verification, while preserving all the original metadata.

slimRAW optimizes DNG stills and enables importing DNG stills and timelipses in Adobe Premiere Pro CC.

slimRAW is available for Microsoft Windows and Apple OS X.
