Vinten announced the Vision blue3 75mm tripod head, which they claim is developed for today’s intermediate weight 1/3” chip camcorders and highly accessorized lightweight DSLR cameras.
The new Vision blue3 balances payloads of between 6.6 – 14.6 lbs (3.0 – 6.6kg) and sits between the original Vision blue, (payload range 4.6 – 11 lbs /2.1 – 5kg), and the recently launched Vision blue5 (payload range 12.1 lb-26.5 lb/5.5 – 12kg). The latest addition to the Vision blue range means that Vinten supports deployments that span traditional broadcast cameras, as well as lightweight camcorders and DSLRs equipped for video.

Also new from Vinten is the Vision blueBridge accessory that extends the lower range of payloads for each Vision blue system.
Quickly and simply attaching to the underside of the camera, it raises the camera above the platform allowing lower weight cameras to be used that would otherwise be too light for the counterbalance system to balance perfectly.
The Vision blue3 will be shown publicly for the first time in the Americas at Vinten’s booth C6025 at NAB 2013, which takes place in Las Vegas, Nevada on April 6-11. Please see Vinten for more information about their Vision Blue3 tripod head.
