True Lens Services or TLS have rehoused the first of a set of historic Cooke Speed Panchro lenses. Bringing the Cooke Speed Panchro lenses up to modern day specification and using their in house design and manufacturing facility that produced the Genus Matte Box range; True Lens Services have produced a lens activated by a cam to move the optical unit, rather than the original thread system. Read HERE if you need a quick refresher as to why Cooke Speed Panchro lenses are so special.
By using the cam form, machined into the focus barrel of the new housing, the operator can have greater control of focusing at longer distances on the TLS Cooke Speed Panchro lenses.

At IBC TLS had the 18mm series III T2.2 Cooke Speed Panchro lens prototype on display, which is probably the most difficult of the range to rehouse. TLS are focusing on the 18mm, 25mm, 32mm, 40mm, 50mm, 75mm and 100mm lenses which will be available to order for a early 2013 delivery.
Potential customers are required to supply their own Cooke Speed Panchro lenses for rehousing initially.
For more information please see True Lens Services for more about their rehoused Cooke Speed Panchro lens range. A quick look on eBay reveals there is some quality Cooke Speed Panchro glass that is just begging for a TLS rehousing.
