Would it not be simpler to test every other camera on the market except the Blackmagic URSA Mini 4.6K camera for colour hue issues. Surely people are excepting of the BMD Magenta look by now.

I mean does’t everyone know that BMD stands for Bad Magenta Design? No… oh well enjoy another Magenta test courtesy of Bart Johnson Productions.

Now that I have my URSA Mini 4.6K I am getting all sorts of questions about the reported issues with the camera. One common one I get asked about is the magenta cast issue on the sensor. I decided to put the camera to the test and see if this issue exists, and if it is actually a big deal or not.

Canon 24-105mm f/4 (zoomed to around 50mm to avoid vignetting)
3840×2160 ProRes 422 recorded at 29.97
Shot in Video style to avoid color grading that could skew results
5600K White Balance
