We are happy to release version 6 firmware for the F5, and F55 digital motion picture cameras. It is strongly recommended you update to this new release.
We continue the feature rich firmware timeline for both cameras with this release, implementing ProRes HD RGB with the optional CBK-55PD installed, among other features.

This firmware can be updated from V5.11, V5.10, V5.0, V4.12, V4.11, V4.1, V4.0, V3.0, V2.11, V2.1 and V2.0. When you want to update F55 and F5 from V1.22 and earlier, you must update to V2.0 first. The F55 and F5 must not be downgraded to previous versions after updating to V2.11. We cannot guarantee trouble free operation after downgrading.
An “All File” generated by a previous firmware version can be loaded with V6.0 for both cameras.
NOTE: The new Firmware V6.0 for PMW-F55/F5 is only compatible with AXS-R5 running with Firmware V4.1. If your AXS-R5 has an older Version please update to current Firmware V4.1 the same time.

- Apple ProRes 4444 with CBK-55PD
Apple ProRes 4444 has been added as a recording format that can be recorded/ played by installing the dedicated Option CBK-55PD. Apple ProRes 4444 can be selected when the system frequency is set to 23.98, 24.0, 25.0, or 29.97 and Main Operation is set to RGB.
- User 3D LUT on “S-Gamut/SLog2” Color Space
3D LUT can be now be used with“S-Gamut/SLog2” Color Space.
- 66FPS has been added in S&Q mode
66FPS has been added to the available Slow & Quick Motion values.
- Improved ABB/APR action when selecting Apple ProRes and Avid DNxHD®
Camcorder does not restart after performing ABB/APR while the recording format is set to Apple ProRes or Avid DNxHD®.
Bug Fixes
When Interlace recording formats are selected, SDI(Main)&Internal Rec. and SDI(Sub)&HDMI was not able to be changed separately. This has been fixed.
When MPEG50 recording format was selected, 1st and 2nd fields were inverted after executing ABB sometimes. This has been fixed.
When SDI(Sub) output was set to “Off” and Test Out was not used, TC output was not working. This has been fixed.
When HDCAM SR codec (SStP), Apple ProRes or Avid DNxHD® recording format was selected, SDI output phase was about one line delayed from Genlock signal. This has been fixed.
Assignable Buttons setting was not loaded when ALL file generated by previous firmware version was loaded.

While using Wi-Fi Remote by iOS devices and Safari, please turn off Private browse function.

All files which are created with Firmware V6.0 are not compatible with an earlier firmware version.
