Spotted a Tweet by @Genus_Products that they were shooting a new video with a new product involved. I spied the filter as standing out from what was on the rig and what was going on in that picture. Well low and behold a video has slipped onto the mainstream radar featuring a new ND fader. So the initial assumption has turned out to be correct as Genustech do have a new lens filter called the Eclipse ND Fader Filter.
