The are no winners with domestic abuse
It is time to be serious for a moment…
I have shot News on and off for over 20 years, and in that time covered some horrific events and shot stories with unstoppable tears flowing down my face. For the most part of it, filming people at their darkest moments doesn’t really effect me. I say for the most part, because there are three things that cut me down and I can’t help but be moved by.
The three types of incidents that impact me greatly: I can’t handle any disaster, accident or incident that involves small children. I have covered too many funerals involving soldiers and police officers, and I always break down. Lastly, domestic abuse is always a tough one for me to cover as I grew up in an extremely violet household.
I want to bring to your attention a story that has moved me recently and it involves Sara Collaton the portrait photographer from Canada who was once engaged to Philip Bloom.
A fews days ago Sara came out about her alleged abuse at the hands of Philip Bloom.
Here is her story published on Facebook…
This is the original Facebook exchange:
This is only a small part of the story and Sara’s original post can be found HERE, as is her follow up posts, and we urge you to read them please.
