JVC GY HM100 Camera
We first reported this on Twitter about their order but now CNN have taken receivership of the 177 JVC GY-HM100 ProHD cameras which replace its tape-based fleet of DV camcorders. The JVC GY-HM100 camera was first released in April 2009.
It is believed that JVC is expecting more orders from CNN in 2011.
The handheld 3-CCD camcorder, which records high definition video at 35 Mbps in MPEG-2 format, is compatible with the XDCAM file-based workflow used throughout CNN and will compliment their existing shoulder style ENG cameras.
