Constructed from solid aluminium, the Crash Cage can take a beating so that your camera doesn’t have to.
A run and gun shooting style demands the ability to switch setups quickly and securely. The Crash Cage is the foundation for that setup. Easily switch from a tripod to a slider, or go handheld, knowing that you can move your camera safely and quickly, and in time to get your shot. The quick release plate options give you the ability to remove your camera from the cage in a snap. With over 80 mounting points, the Crash Cage provides a wide variety of options for mounting your microphones, monitors and other key accessories.
Optimize your rig by taking advantage of the CNC machined coldshoe mount, the 49 threaded mounting holes and the 31 thru holes. Strategic access points in the cage allow you to feed cables through to your camera, as well as easily lock these cables in place with the addition of Lock Blocks. The Crash Cage can be as simple as a protective cage, or it can serve as the building block for your full-blown rails system.
Additional weights, when added to the Crash Cage, transform it into a perfectly counterbalanced rig for flying your camera on a Steadicam or Glidecam.
