Little test for those that are up for a what was this shot with challenge…

Sleepwalkers

“Sleepwalkers” was filmed with the following cameras: A RED Scarlet, a Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera, a Magic Lantern hacked 5D Mark III, and a GoPro Hero 3.

Only one of theses cameras was the A camera and the remaining cameras were used as B and C cameras for the shooting of Ryan Lightbourn’s Sleepwalkers the micro-budget creature-feature which was shot in Wekiva Springs, FL.

Can you pick which camera shot which piece of vision?

Sleepwalkers (2014) – Official Trailer

The way these cameras matched up in post goes to show that it really is your story that counts. While we were fortunate enough to have the options, one of these cameras could have been more than sufficient (that being said, the RedMagic rig really did save us some time, which saved us money).

Lenses used on Sleepwalkers:

Red Scarlet – Zeiss 50mm Makro f/2, Nikon 35mm 1.4 (manual version), Zeiss 25mm 2.8, Nikon 24-120mm f/4
Canon 5D Mark III – Zeiss 50mm Makro f/2, Zeiss 25mm 2.8, Nikon 35mm 1.4 (manual version)
Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera – Panasonic 14mm f/2.5, Nikon 35mm 1.4
