Following up on The VW 158 Custom Picture Style Collection Picture Profile Post some have asked for instructions on how to install the Picture Styles Picture Profiles or CPS. So we thought we would help out those that are a little lost putting the Picture Styles Picture Profiles onto their cameras.
All information set out here is gleaned from Canon websites on how to add Custom Canon Picture Styles. We are not offering support only guidance as to where you can find the instructions for installing and using Canon Custom Picture Styles with your Canon Camera. Feel free to use the Picture Styles in either Video or Stills Mode.
There are two ways to use Picture Style files (.pf2). The first is to upload the Picture Style file to the camera for use while shooting. The second is applying the Picture Style file to Canon supplied software, and then performing post-processing on the shot.
Method One: Start with Uploading Picture Styles to you Canon Camera 5D MKII 7D: Windows instructions Mac is similiar:
1. Ensure that EOS Utility Ver. 2.6 or later is installed.
2. Download your favorite Picture Style files to your computer.
3. Select the communication setting on your camera.
4. Start EOS Utility.
4.a. Connect the EOS DIGITAL camera to the personal computer via a USB cable, and start up EOS Utility. Click “Camera settings/Remote shooting” on the main window.
4.b. Once the capture window opens, click the camera icon, and then click “Register User Defined style”.
4.c. Click “Register User Defined style”.
4.d. Select one of “User Def. 1~3” in “Register Picture Style File”.
4.e. Click the Folder icon.
4.f. Select a Picture Style file (extension .pf2).
4.g. Click “OK”.
4.h. Before applying the file, you can also adjust parameters such as [Sharpness], [Contrast], [Saturation], and [Color tone] by clicking “Detail set.”

Method Two: A: Using Canon Picture Styles in Post:
1. Ensure that Digital Photo Professional Ver. 3.1 or later is installed.
2. Download your favorite Picture Style files to your computer.
3. Using Digital Photo Professional to apply a Picture Style File to a RAW image.
3.a. Start Digital Photo Professional to display a RAW image.
3.b. Select a RAW image to apply Picture Style file. Double-click on the image or select the image and switch to [Edit image] window. [Edit] window and tool palette appear.
3.c. Check if the [RAW] tab is selected.
3.d. Click on [Browse] on the tool palette in the [RAW image adjustment] window. The [Open] window appears.
3.e. Open the location where you have saved Picture Style files, select the desired file to capture, and click the [Open] button.
3.f. The Picture Style file is loaded and reflected in the developed image.

Method Two: B: Using Canon Picture Styles in Post:
1. Ensure that ZoomBrowser EX Ver. 6.0 or later (for Windows) / ImageBrowser Ver. 6.0 or later (for Mac).
2. Download your favorite Picture Style files to your computer.
3. Using ZoomBrowser EX or ImageBrowser to apply a Picture Style File to a RAW image.
3.a. Start ZoomBrowser EX or ImageBrowser to display a RAW image.
3.b. Select a RAW image to apply Picture Style file, click on [Edit], and click on [Process RAW images…]
3.c. The [RAW Image Task] window and [Image Quality Adjustment] window appear.
3.d. Click on “folder icon” in the [Image Quality Adjustment] window. → The [Open] window appears.
3.e. Open the location where you have saved Picture Style files, select the desired file to apply, and click the [Open] button.
3.f. The Picture Style file is loaded and reflected in the developed image.
